The boyfriend charged with killing his 25-year-old girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter, whose bodies were found in an apartment in Parkville in June 2011, plead guilty in Baltimore County court Monday evening.

Brian Lamont Eggleston Jr., 29, plead guilty to two counts of murder in the deaths of Alicia Lee Avery and her daughter Darry'el Parker, who were found shot to death inside the Welcome Inn, where they had been staying under police protection as a result of an unrelated murder in Baltimore.

Prosecutors said in court that Eggleston and Avery were dating and that he had moved into the Parkville Welcome Inn with Avery. But when Avery was preparing to move to more permanent housing, she told a family friend she no longer wanted to be with Eggleston.

Just days before she was supposed to move, prosecutors said Eggleston and Avery got into a fight over the phone, while she was staying with a friend. Cell phone records show that Avery had returned to their apartment after repeated calls from Eggleston's phone. The following day, prosecutors said Eggleston got a new cell phone number and stopped calling Avery's number.

Avery and her daughter were found dead on June 27, 2011 by police.

The state's attorney's office recommended two consecutive life sentences. Eggleston's sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
