Baltimore County police say officer rear-ended car in Dundalk on Tuesday

A Baltimore County police officer hit a car in Dundalk while driving to a medical call Tuesday morning, police said.

Baltimore County police received a call at about 10:23 a.m. for a car accident involving a police car at the intersection of Wise and Seabright avenues, police spokeswoman Julia Hardgrove said.

The police officer, driving with lights and sirens on, was responding to a medical call. While en route, the officer rear-ended a civilian car, police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher said.

The civilian driver was not hurt, but the officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Rogers-Feher said.
