Police investigating shooting in Gwynn Oak

Two male suspects are in custody in connection with a shooting Thursday night in Gwynn Oak, Baltimore County police said.

Officers from the Woodlawn Precinct responded to the 6800 block of Townbrook Drive in Gwynn Oak around 7:24 p.m., for a report of gunshots. Police said suspects in a dark vehicle and an unknown victim fled the scene before officers arrived. Shell casings were located at the scene, according to police.

According to a news release from department spokesman Lt. Robert McCullough, police attempted to stop a vehicle matching the description of the one driven by the suspects, but the males led police on a chase. With help from the department helicopter, officers arrested the pair near Eastridge Road and Huntington Drive. A handgun was found in the vehicle.

The suspects, who had not been charged and were not immediately identified, were transported to the Woodlawn Precinct.

As of Thursday night, a victim had not been identified.
