A woman was pinned between two vehicles on the side of Perring Parkway on Sunday afternoon after a third vehicle crashed into them and forced them together, according to Baltimore County police.
Police were called to the scene near Putty Hill Avenue in Parkville just before 4:30 p.m. for reports of a collision.
A preliminary crash investigation showed the woman was in an accident with another driver, and both vehicles pulled off the road, said Officer Keith Weber, of the county police crash team.
Soon after, a third vehicle crashed into one of the vehicles, forcing it toward the other and pinning the woman in between, Weber said.
The woman was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, while a man was transported to another area hospital with chest pains, a fire dispatcher said.
The woman's condition could not be determined, but Weber said she had suffered a broken leg.
The crash team is continuing to investigate the accident, he said.
No further information was immediately available.
