Baltimore County police are investigating an incident in which an unknown assailant shot a man in the leg Friday night.
The shooting took place in the area of Landmark Court and Hopkins Creek Lane in Essex, according to a statement released by police.
Officers dispatched to the scene shortly before 9 p.m. found the victim with at least one gunshot wound to the leg. Police said they have no information on a suspect or a motive.
The victim is being treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police ask anyone with information to call 410-307-2020.
