Baltimore County police say a person has barricaded themselves inside a Towson home Wednesday morning, and are asking residents in the area to stay inside.
Police were called around 10:20 a.m. to the 1100 block of Gypsy Lane, off Hampton Lane, where shots were fired but no injuries or hostages were reported.
Police set up a staging area at the nearby St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Providence Road.
Just after 12:30 p.m., a crew dressed in SWAT gear from the Harford County Sheriff's Office arrived at the staging area.
Nearby, Notre Dame Preparatory School was placed on lockdown around 10 a.m., said Al Bianco, the school's assistant principal.
"We have accounted for everybody, and we're waiting for the all-clear from police," Bianco said.
Shortly after 11 a.m. police closed Hampton Lane between Providence Road and Windy Gate Road.
Police tweeted just after 12:40 p.m. That they had no new information and negotiators were working to resolve the situation peacefully.
