Armed with a machete and a handgun, two men robbed three 7-Eleven stores across Baltimore County in about an hour Thursday night before being arrested, police said.
A 7-Eleven in White Marsh on Philadelphia Road was the first target, where shortly before 11 p.m., one man armed with a machete jumped over the counter, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money, while the second man with a handgun pointed it at a customer and asked for money.
Police said the pair then went to the 7-Eleven on Belair Road in Nottingham, where, around 11:20 p.m., the man with the machete jumped over the counter and the man with a gun walked up to a store clerk, where they demanded cash.
At 11:50 p.m., police said they went to the 7-Eleven in the 1500 block of York Road in Lutherville and again used a machete and handgun to demand money from the store clerk and a customer.
Shortly after midnight, officers were called to Ridge Road and Belair Road in Nottingham for a report of suspicious subjects. An officer approached two men in the parking lot of an Enterprise Leasing store in the 8000 block of Belair Road and they ran.
Officers caught up to them, where police found on them a machete and a handgun. Police said they believed the men planned to rob an Exxon gas station in the 8100 block of Belair Road.
Police on Saturday identified the suspects as Anthony Robert DiCarlo, 25, of the 1800 block of Greencastle Drive and Anthony Peter Inzana Jr, 21 of the 1800 block of Oakdale Avenue, both in Rosedale. The charges against them include armed robbery and assault.
Both are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $500,000 bail. Neither has an attorney listed in court records.
Police said no shots were fired during the robberies, and no one was injured.
Police also announced on Friday an arrest in a Dec. 19 robbery of a Taylor Avenue Boost Mobile store in Loch Raven. Investigators said Mayib Seck, 26, walked up to the register, displayed a weapon and demanded money.
Seck is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
