Baltimore County Police hiring officers, cadets

The Baltimore County Police Department has announced that it's now hiring for both police cadets and officers.

According to a release, applications will be accepted online at or until May 2. Cadet candidates must be between 17.5 and 20.5 years old, and officer candidates must be 21 at the time of graduation.

The department is offering information sessions for those interested in learning more about the position. One session aimed at women is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at police headquarters, 700 E. Joppa Road in Towson.

Participants must register for the session on ahead of time.

Other upcoming sessions, all of which will be Wednesdays at 6 p.m., are as follows:

April 16: Cadet Session at CCBC Dundalk Campus, 7200 Sollers Point Road

April 23: Cadet Session at Liberty Family Resource Center, 3525 Resource Drive in Randallstown

April 30: Cadet Session at Towson Headquarters, 700 E. Joppa Road
