Gigi Mangione, McDonogh


Mangione was the catalyst for a McDonogh team that reached the Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference final. The junior, who played midfielder and forward for the Eagles, scored 13 goals and had nine assists.

She netted an overtime game-winner against St. Vincent Pallotti in the teams' first meeting and registered two goals and an assist in a come-from-behind victory over Notre Dame Prep this season.

The versatile Mangione was a Maryland Association of Coaches of Soccer first-team selection and led McDonogh to a 16-5-2 record and a No. 3 final ranking.

Kim Williams, Eastern Tech


Coming into this season with just one senior on her roster, Williams got her players to grow up fast.

By the end of the season, her team showed maturity, advancing to the Class 2A state championship game. Led by senior defender Madison Bell and three juniors in midfielder Rachel Tregesor and forwards Amber Womack and Brittany Rhodes, the No. 10 Mavericks also captured the Baltimore County crown and finished 18-3-1. In five seasons with the team, Williams has compiled a 65-15-4 record.
