Baltimore County police warned Tuesday that two World War II-era hand grenades reported stolen in the burglary of a Monkton home last week could still be live and cause injury or death. The dark green, pineapple-shaped, Japanese-style grenades and several guns were taken from the home between 1 p.m. Sept. 23 and 9 p.m. the next day, according to police. The owner was unsure if the grenades were disabled, and police said the weapons should be considered dangerous. Anyone with information about the burglary was urged to call 911 or county police at 410-307-2020.
