A woman was found dead in a Reisterstown apartment fire Saturday afternoon, Baltimore County fire officials said. The woman, who had not been identified, was found during a search of the second floor of a building in the 100 block of Ewing Drive that housed four apartments, said Fire Director Kyrle Preis III. The cause of the fire and the woman's death were under investigation. The first alarm sounded about 1:30 p.m. and a second 20 minutes later. Fifty firefighters and 12 pieces of equipment from the Franklin, Reisterstown, Garrison, Owings Mills, Glyndon and Pikesville stations fought the blaze, which badly damaged the first and second floors and the attic. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
