Honor guard

A TSA honor guard stands as an Army honor guard transfers casket of Pfc. Robert B. Bayne from a plane at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport to a hearse as family members look on. Bayne was killed in a skirmish along the Rhine River in 1945 and listed as missing in action. He had been interred in an unknown soldier’s grave in France. DNA from his 83-year-old twin brothers Calvin and Kenneth Bayne recently helped the Army to positively identify the remains. The soldier will be celebrated at a funeral Mass Saturday at his parish church in Dundalk and interred in the family cemetery more than 66 years after his death.
