Donations for soldiers on front lines overseas

Capt. Ed Sipes of the Halethorpe Fire Department is shown with boxes of donated food and other items that Catonsville and Arbutus area residents had dropped off to be shipped overseas to soldiers on the front lines. Sipes announced that despite the strong support from residents in the southwestern area of Baltimore County, the program has been ended after more than seven years of operation due to a lack of funds to pay for the shipping.
