Man stabbed with jagged edge of broom in Lansdowne

A 22-year-old man was injured when he was attacked with the jagged edge of a broom in front of Lansdowne Elementary School on Sunday, according to a statement from Baltimore County Police released on Friday.

At 11:31 p.m. on June 22, police responded to the 2300 block of Alma Road for a report of a stabbing and found a man with a puncture wound to the chest, said police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter.

The man had been stabbed during an argument, Wachter said, and the assailant fled.

Police said no other information on the attacker was available to report.

The man was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries, Wachter said.

Wilkens Precinct police are investigating the incident, he said.
