Among the 60 calls for medical and fire-rescue service received by the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department during the period Sept. 1-8, were the following
Wilkens Avenue at Beechfield Road, 11:10 a.m. Sept. 7. Crews responded to the report of a brush fire in the Arbutus area and assisted Baltimore City units in extinguishing a large brush fire.
Interstate 695 between exit 9 and exit 10, 9:00 p.m. Sept 6. Crews from the Arbutus and Lansdowne volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident on the highway in the Arbutus area. Two people with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
Oak Lodge Road, 1900 block, 11:54 a.m. Sept. 4. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a residential fire in the Catonsville area. An attic fire was extinguished.
Brompton Road, 6700 block, 9:36 p.m. Sept 3. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Randallstown, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a residential fire in the Woodlawn area and found a small electrical fire had self-extinguished.
Rose Avenue, 2800 block, 2:53 p.m. Sept. 2. A dwelling fire was reported. Crews from the English Consul and Arbutus volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a residential fire in the English Consul area and found an oven fire had self-extinguished.
