Loyola buys up Video American DVDs

Video Americain co-owner Barry Solan works at Video Americain, which is going out of business and selling off a stock of 60,000 DVDs. Loyola University Maryland faculty members have bought hundreds of titles, mostly criticlly acclaimed films, to use as teaching tools. A Loyola spokesman confirmed that a group of professors, led by film studies director and associate English professor Nicholas Miller, is using funds from their departments, their own money and alumni donations to buy DVDs.
