The investigation into a two-alarm fire involving at least four row houses in North Baltimore early Monday morning has closed York Road to traffic, according to the Baltimore Fire Department.

The intersection of York and East Cold Spring Lane, at the southwest corner of the city's Richnor Springs neighborhood, is expected to remain closed through the morning rush hour, city emergency officials said.

Firefighters responded to the 4600 block of York Road about 3:09 a.m. and found heavy fire coming from a dwelling, the fire department said. A second alarm was called about 3:20 a.m.

The fire was brought under control about 4 a.m. No injuries were reported.
