The majority of the approximately 500 Baltimore Gas & Electric customers in Baltimore City north of 28th Street between St. Paul Street and Barclay Street who lost power Friday morning have since had their service restored.
Repair crews were able to re-establish much of the service by noon, but BGE officials said customers may experience temporary outages until about 5 p.m. as work continues on the affected sites.
The restoration process had been delayed when crews struggled to access an underground line.
The most significant outage had occurred along Hargrove Alley between 29th and 30th streets. More than 150 customers have been affected by the outage, which occurred at 6:45 a.m.
An outage that affected about 130 customers along Hargrove Alley between 29th and 28th streets occurred at 6:30 a.m. An outage along Hunter Street between 28th and 29th streets had affected about 119 customers.
An outage just north of 29th Street between Guilford Avenue and Barclay Street occurred at 6:16 a.m. and had affected about 50 customers. And an outage just south of 29th Street between Guilford Avenue and Barclay Street occurred at 3:41 a.m. and had affected about 115 customers.
