Part of the southbound Jones Falls Expressway closed for concrete repair work Friday night. The work will continue throughout the weekend.
All lanes will shut down at the Guilford Avenue exit from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, and traffic will be detoured down Guilford to East Baltimore Street, then to President Street near the end of the expressway, according to the city department of transportation.
The left lane of the southbound JFX will close as well from 28th Street to Pleasant Street from 10 a.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
The closures are expected to cause delays, and city transportation officials advise drivers to consider other routes into Baltimore this weekend.
