Baltimore bus riders can look for a little extra holiday cheer to liven up their travels.
The Maryland Transit Administration recently launched its Holiday Bus, a free service that will run on different routes Monday through Friday during the month of December.
The bus will be decorated to mark the holiday season and passengers will be greeted by Santa and two elves, who will offer free candy canes, according to a news release from the MTA. It will be out at varying times throughout the month to accommodate the most number of customers.
"Helping to deliver the spirit of the season to riders, along with the kind of public transportation our passengers deserve, is a great way to celebrate the holiday," said Robert Smith, MTA administrator and CEO, in a statement.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
