A water main break in Baltimore has closed the Penn-North metro station, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

The station is closed for the remainder of Tuesday night and is slated to re-open at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, according to Paulette Austrich, Director of Media Relations for the MTA.

Trains will not stop at the station, but they are able to continue their routes through the station.

Bus service—via Nos. 7, 13, 21, 54 and 91—is being offered to passengers effected by the station closure.

Jeff Raymond, chief of communications and community affairs for the Baltimore's Department of Public Works, said a water main break on Monday sent water spilling into a building and into the street. Raymond said just before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday that the repair was made on Monday, and a follow-up Tuesday evening confirmed the repair had been made.
