Driver, officer injured in tanker truck crash

Two were injured when a tanker truck crashed into several parked cars near the University of Maryland in Baltimore Sunday night, police said.

The driver of the truck and a university police officer were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries, according to police spokesman Det. Jeremy Silbert.

The cause of the crash, which happened around 9 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Greene St., was also unclear.
