Man, 20, shot in leg in Southwest Baltimore

A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg Friday night in Baltimore — meaning more than 500 people have been shot in the city this year.

At 7:37 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of N. Hilton St. in the Saint Josephs neighborhood of Southwest Baltimore. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The incident means that more than 500 people have been shot in Baltimore this year, according to police statistics. That marks a 14 percent decrease from this time last year.
