A man was fatally stabbed in east Baltimore in the early hours of Saturday morning, two men were shot Saturday night and a man and a woman were shot Sunday in the city, police said.

Police said officers reached the stabbing victim, identified as James Floyd Vincent, 55, in the 400 block of N. Duncan Street at 1:32 a.m. He had been seen running in the 2000 block of Monument Street before collapsing to the ground bleeding from the neck, according to police.

He was being treated by medics for the stab wound when officers arrived and was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 2 a.m.

A man was shot in the foot in the 100 block of N. Potomac Street in the Patterson Park neighborhood at 9:30 p.m. after allegedly trying to rob another man who turned out to be armed, police said. The victim, who has not been identified fled but sat down in the 3000 block of E. Fayette Street and was taken to an area hospital where he is in stable condition, police said.

Officers in the Northern district responded to reports of gunshots in the 2000 block of N. Charles Street at 11:23 p.m. They found a wrecked Dodge Neon riddled with bullet holes along its side against the guard rail of a gas station, according to police.

A man who said he was the driver of the vehicle approached the officers and said he was driving through a parking lot when a man pulled out a handgun and shot at him, police said. The victim had been hit a number of times but police said he was in good condition at a local hospital.

On Sunday, police responded to the 4100 block of Hyden Court in the city's Brooklyn neighborhood just before 11:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting and found two victims wounded by shotgun fire.

Police said a 26-year-old man was shot in the legs and torso during the argument, and a 49-year-old woman received a graze wound.

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

A "person of interest" was taken into custody in the shooting, but no further information was immediately available, police said.
