Three shot in the city on Saturday

Three people were shot in separate incidents in Baltimore Saturday while a man shot last Sunday has died, city police said.

In the first incident Saturday, officers in the 700 block of Cator Avenue heard gun shots shortly after midnight, and saw a vehicle speeding away, police said. The officers stopped the vehicle and discovered that its driver, a 30-year-old man who has not been identified, had been grazed by a bullet in the back of his head, according to police.

Two hours later, a 29-year-old man, who has also not been identified, was walking along the 3300 block of W. Franklin Street when someone shot him in the arm.

Saturday evening police said they were investigating a shooting after a male victim walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound in the arm. No other information was available.

Police said the victim in a shooting last Sunday, identified as Melvin Taylor, 23, has died.

Taylor was found lying on an athletic field at the Baltimore Liberation Diploma Plus High School suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. He was riding a dirt bike on the field along with a number of other people, when another group approached and opened fire, police said at the time.

Detectives are investigating all of the incidents.
