One man dead after double shooting in Northwest Baltimore

One man died after a double shooting in Northwest Baltimore late Monday night and police were investigating two additional shootings, police said

Anthony Carr, 52, had returned home from work and was sitting on his porch in the 2900 block of Edgecombe Circle South at about 11 p.m., said police spokesman Donny Moses. Witnesses said a group of males walked up and were talking to Carr when two men began shooting at the group, Moses said.

When police arrived, they found Carr suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and torso. A second victim, 29, was found in a nearby alley. Both were taken to Sinai Hospital, where Carr was pronounced dead at about 11:40 p.m. The second victim was last reported in critical but stable condition.

Police were also investigating two other shootings

And at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, a 29-year-old man was reported shot at the intersection of Allendale and Harlem Ave., in Southwest Baltimore. His condition was not immediately known either.
