A police vehicle was involved in an accident Saturday night in West Baltimore, police said.

About 8 p.m., the police vehicle and another vehicle collided in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave., near Bentalou Street, said Detective Donny Moses, a spokesman from the Baltimore City Police Department.

Both the officer driving the police vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, he said. Their injuries were not life-threatening, he said.

The accident is being investigated, and no other information was available from police by 9:15 p.m.
