A 19-year-old man was found fatally shot inside a car in an alley in Northwest Baltimore early Wednesday morning, continuing a violent stretch that has seen nearly a killing per day for the past month.
The victim, identified as Delonta Harrison, was shot multiples times in the rear of the 5100 block of Arbutus Avenue, in the Langston Hughes neighborhood, shortly before 4:30 a.m., and pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to police.
It is the 10th homicide in the city since last Tuesday, and 28 people have been killed in the past month.

Homicides are up 7 percent this year, on top of an increase of 10 percent last year. Recent victims include two brothers, and the 41-year-old son of a city police dispatcher.
Non-fatal shootings are also on the rise, up 12 percent as of Nov. 9.
Police have highlighted the arrests of nearly 70 alleged Black Guerrilla Family members or associates in East Baltimore as evidence that they are fighting back.
Police also on Wednesday identified a man killed in the 2500 block of N. Edgecombe Circle on Tuesday afternoon. He is Brian Curtis Sims Jr., 28, and lived in the block where he was killed.
