Do you think Baltimore should bid for the 2024 Summer Games?

    • Not sure.
    • No way. We don't have the space or resources.
    • Yes, but I'm leaving town if it happens.
    • Yes! It would be great for the city.

I half heartedly commented on the article about the city going bankrupt that the next logical step would be to bid for the Olympics. Honestly, I think a D.C./Baltimore/Philly bid would be great. I would expect D.C. to be the main city for the games. DC could certainly turn an olympic stadium into a new home for the Redskins because really, what else are you going to do with a $500 million structure after two weeks of use? The Olympics are too much of a money pit for one city to take on. By spreading the games out over the I-95 corridor it COULD be financially feasible. All three cities have decent rail and bus transportation, enough hotels and venues that are already built. Yeah, Baltimore would have to sink some money into infrastructure improvements. But that will only benefit us after the games are over. MARC and Amtrak service could finally be up to date. The city will do everything in it's power to clean itself up and maybe turn the corner as a modern city.

not a chance!

Maybe by then we can get rid of this SORRY excuse for a mayor!!! Or perhaps they might demand we get rid of her in order to be able to host said games. I wonder how such a pathetic excuse for a mayor could have been gotten through a DEMOCRATIC primary!!!!!
