The first man was found lying in the street in the 1300 block of North Carey Street in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. At 6:44 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 500 block of North Glover St. in McElderry Park, where they found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower back and hand. He was transported to a hospital, and detectives have no suspects or motives in the case. He was listed in serious condition on Wednesday night but police on Thursday said he had survived the night.
A third man was shot in the abdomen at 10:38 p.m. in the 500 block of South Gilmor Street in the Mount Clare neighborhood. Police said he had been on the block when a man walked around the corner, pulled out a handgun and fired two shots, striking the victim.
