Baltimore City police make arrest in July 5 homicide

Baltimore police have arrested a 21-year-old man for a homicide in Upton on July 5.

Baltimore police on Thursday arrested a 21-year-old man for a double-shooting in Upton earlier this month that left one person dead.

Police said Darron Brown shot 28-year-old Travis Powell and a second victim, in the to the 600 block of Laurens Street on July 5.

Powell, of the 500 block of Bloom Street, was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The second victim survived.

Brown, who is charged with first-degree murder, is being held at central booking. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records.
