Two women injured in Hampden duplex fire

Two women were injured in a two-story duplex fire in Hampden Wednesday night, the Baltimore Fire Department said.

The department said the victims were taken to a Bayview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries following the fire, which was reported in the 3600 block of Ash St. The injuries were not serious burns, according to fire department spokesman Ian Brennan.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. It was declared under control around 10 p.m.
