Man, 36, fatally shot in Northwest Baltimore

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot in Northwest Baltimore on Thursday afternoon, according to city police.

Police responded to the 3200 block of Lyndhurst Avenue about 3 p.m. to find the man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, said Sgt. Eric Kowalczyk, a police spokesman.

Police on Friday morning identified the victim as Todd Duffie of the 6700 block of Ransome Drive in Baltimore.

A preliminary investigation showed the Duffie was standing outside a vehicle at the location, in the city's West Forest Park neighborhood, when he was shot, Kowalczyk said.

Duffie was transported to an area hospital as homicide detectives responded to the scene due to the severity of the man's injuries, Kowalczyk said. He was pronounced dead at 3:38 p.m., police said Friday.
