Two men were killed and another was gravely injured in shootings overnight in Baltimore, police said.
At about 4:20 a.m. Saturday, a southern district officer was turning into the 200 block of S. Calhoun Street when he said he saw two people chasing a man. One of the suspects shot the victim, 35-year-old Troy Johnson, in the chest, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he died.
Both suspects remain at large, police said.
At about 7:40 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the head in the 200 block of Bridgeview Road in Cherry Hill, police said. The victim was unresponsive and has been transported to an area hospital. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
At about 9:25 p.m. Friday, a 46-year-old man was shot in the upper torso in the first block of S. Monastery Avenue in Baltimore's Saint Joseph's neighborhood. The victim, who has not been identified, died at Shock Trauma. Police said witnesses reported seeing a male suspect running from the scene while holding a shotgun.
