A 46-year-old man who was in a coma since hitting his head on a sidewalk during a domestic fight in April has died, and city police said they are investigating the death as a homicide. No charges have yet been filed with the case.
Police said Cornell Booker Sr. had been intoxicated and fighting with his girlfriend when their son intervened on a street in the 300 block of Whitridge Ave., in North Baltimore's Harwood community. Police said the victim fell during the altercation and hit his head on the sidewalk.
Booker was taken to a city hospital after the incident, which occurred about 9:50 p.m. on April 19, and was in a coma until he died on Wednesday. Authorities said prosecutors are reviewing the files to determine whether to file charges.
Baltimore police have also identified the victims of two other recent killings.
A man found shot in the 600 block of Eutaw St. in the early morning hours of May 6 was Terrence Anderson, 19. Police said he died May 8 at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. And police said Shavar Little, 28, was the man shot and killed May 8 in the 1100 block of East 20th St. He died at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Police have not made any arrests in these killings.
