A robbery suspect crashed a car into a building in West Baltimore Tuesday morning after fleeing from police and was arrested after trying to run away from the wreck, police said.
The driver, whom police said is a robbery suspect but did not further identify, was driving in the 2200 Block of Druid Hill Avenue in the Druid Heights neighborhood when the department's Regional Auto Theft Task Force attempted to stop the car, police said. The car sped off and ultimately crashed into a building in the 2100 block of W. North Avenue less than a mile away.
The suspect ran off but was captured by police a short distance from the crash, and no one was injured. Police did not provide details on any pending charges.
