Baltimore police are searching for three people involved in a March 18 beating of a tourist that attracted widespread attention after a video of the incident went viral on the Internet.
The video showed a 31-year-old man from Arlington, Va., being surrounded in the 100 block of N. Calvert St. by a crowd of people, then struck multiple times, stripped of his clothes and robbed.
The three suspects, whom police released images of seemingly taken from the online video, are wanted on assault and robbery charges, police said.
Questions had previously been raised as to whether police were investigating the incident as a crime and whether any arrests would be made, after one of the suspects had seemingly been identified through screen shots and Twitter messages.
Police asked Thursday for the public's help in finding the three suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call 410-396-2411.
