Baltimore police said that two adults were killed early Saturday morning when an automobile left a Northeast Baltimore road and struck a tree.

The single-vehicle accident happened at 2:27 a.m. in the  6500 block of Perring Parkway. A police spokesman said that the vehicle failed to negotiate a left curve, left the roadway and hit a tree. The accident left two adult passengers dead. The  driver was taken to a hospital and is listed in serious, but stable condition. Accident Investigation Unit detectives are investigating. The names of the persons involved were not released.
