More than 100 riders left the Inner Harbor for a cross-country bike ride to the West Coast to raise money to support young people affected by cancer.
The riders are part of 4K for Cancer, a program of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. The ride marks the 13th year of cross country rides. Last year, 127 4K for Cancer participants traveled across America and were able to raise nearly $775,000, according to the group's website.
The Ulman Cancer Fund was started by three-time cancer survivor Doug Ulman, brother of Howard County Executive Ken Ulman
