A teenage boy and an unidentified female were found shot last night in an apartment building in Northeast Baltimore and later died from their injuries, police said.

Police found the victims about 7:50 p.m. lying in a hallway of an apartment building in the 5600 block of Loch Raven Blvd. The boy, who was 16, was shot in the chest and was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died later in the evening, police said. Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman, identified the boy as Trevane Ricks.

The female, who remains unidentified this morning, was shot in her side and taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries, police said. A motive or suspects in the slayings was not released.

The victims were two of three people killed last night in Northeast Baltimore, according to police.
