A 22-year-old woman told police she was sexually assaulted about 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of Brendan Ave. in Northeast Baltimore, the ninth such attack in the city since Oct. 20, a department spokesman said.
The woman was about a block away from a bus stop when she was approached by a man with a light-colored handgun, according to police. She told investigators she was dragged into a neighboring alley and assaulted.
Police could not say whether the latest attack was linked to the others, which occurred mostly in East Baltimore. But the assault is similar to some of the others in that it occurred near a bus stop in the early morning hours.
"At this point, we're not ruling out that they could be connected," police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. "But the suspect information is slightly different. This one had a gun; the others used a shard of glass."
In other recent incidents, break-ins resulted in sexual assaults. Police will increase patrols across the city, according to Guglielmi. District commanders have been instructed to pass along information to community groups, and police will continue to conduct traffic stops to elicit information.
Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to call the police sex offense unit at 410-396-2605.

For those that think this is a recist forum: If you think for a second that if this was a white woman the suspect would have been caught already. I would for you to know that Balto,City PD is very busy with all the other crap and goings on in the city especially in the bad parts where this is all happening. You might want to look out your window. See gang members? You live in a bad neighborhood. As you can see if this was Towson, Harford counties, less crap there so the PD's there can do more with what they have. Stop the BS in your area and negativity then you can see more police available to do more with what they have. I feel for the BCPD as they are under alot of strain from all areas and are underpaid. They like what they do or they would not be there. I have seen good officers go to other states less work and more money. You can not blame the PD for not doing their jobs. Blame the residents and drug dealers for not being good citizens!!!!!!! CmikeA
