The first shooting occurred about 6 p.m. in the 1300 block of W. Fayette St., police said. Joseph Leegreen Taylor, 28, was found shot at least once in the head. He was pronounced dead at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
About three and a half hours later, police responding to a call for shots fired in the 2400 block of Pickering Drive in Northeast Baltimore found Allen Mark Johnson, 32, sitting in the driver's seat of a two-door Ford Explorer, also suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:14 p.m.
No arrests had been made in either shooting.
Two other shootings -- one at 6:15 p.m. at North Hilton Street and Edmondson Avenue in West Baltimore and another at 10:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Cliftview Ave. in Northeast Baltimore -- left two other men with nonfatal injuries, police said. The man on Cliftview Avenue was shot in the back; the man on North Hilton Street was shot in the leg.
