Many schools, many speed cameras

State law allows speed cameras within a half-mile radius of a school. As the circles on this map show, most of Baltimore City fits that description. The city has 75 permanent speed cameras and rotates eight portable units among 82 locations - and it's not always evident which school is nearby.

Click any marker to see the camera location and the associated school. You can also view the data as a table. See an error? Email scalvert@baltsun.com. The city Department of Transportation has published incorrect addresses for at least two cameras, and there could be others.

Pink circles indicate the .5 mile radius around a school
Red markers are fixed speed camera locations
Blue markers are portable speed camera locations
