The Ravens defeated the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000192" title="New England Patriots" href="/topic/sports/football/new-england-patriots-ORSPT000192.topic">New England Patriots</a> in the AFC Championship game to advance to the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR000004" title="Super Bowl" href="/topic/sports/football/super-bowl-EVSPR000004.topic">Super Bowl</a>.

Baltimore Ravens' O.J. Brigance was given a game ball by Ed Reed, not in picture, during celebration with AFC Championship trophy in the locker room. The Ravens defeated the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game to advance to the Super Bowl.
