First Liberty Ship: SS Patrick Henry

The SS Patrick Henry, built at Bethlehem Steel's Fairfield Shipyard in Baltimore, was launched Sept. 27, 1941. The first of 2,751 Liberty ships built during World War 2, 385 were assembled in Baltimore.
