Baltimore transportation officials are warning motorists of limited parking near Fort McHenry on Saturday afternoon and evening in anticipation of the Star-Spangled Salute to Michael Phelps. The event is set to begin at 7 p.m., with gates to Fort McHenry opening at 3 p.m. Officials recommend that motorists use a free shuttle bus service from parking lots at M&T Bank Stadium and Orioles Park at Camden Yards, or park at a designated lot on Hull Street. Parking must be reserved for all lots at http://baltimore.org/phelps, and there is a processing fee, officials said. Parking in the Locust Point community will be limited to residents only. The shuttle service will run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fort Avenue at Andre Street will be closed starting at 3 p.m., and water taxi service will not be in operation for the event.
