Larry Adam the founder of Harvest for the Hungry and William Donald Schaefer joke around after the official press conference announcing the kick-off to the Harvest for the Hungry spring food collection for the Maryland Food Bank. The press conference was held at the Helping Up Mission in East Baltimore. This is the 20th year for the Harvest for the Hungry food collection. This year people can leave non-perishable food in a bag at their mailbox and their local U.S. Postal Service letter carrier will pick it up and bring it in for delivery to the food bank. In it's 20 year history the Harvest for the Hungry has collected 25 million pounds of food.
