Police closed the eastbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge for an hour on Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle and a car collided. The motorcyclist, whom police did not name, was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, a Maryland Transportation Authority Police spokesman said. The incident, which occurred about 12:30 p.m., backed up holiday weekend traffic for miles. Police opened one lane about 1:30 p.m. and the entire span at about 2:30 p.m., the spokesman said.
