-4 degrees

Where: Commissary Freezer at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Mansion House Drive, Druid Hill Park, Baltimore (Not open to the public)

Cold facts: With eaters like polar bears and arctic foxes accustomed to their dinners not just raw but ice cold as well, the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore has keep the grub cold. Whole fish are packed in ice and zoo staff wear coats (yes, even in June) to fetch the catch of day out of the large walk freezers. The zoo's Jane Ballentine says the temperature hovers around -4 degrees in 30 square foot freezer.
