Theft

A man robbed a bank teller at gunpoint in Severn Friday and then fled scene on a bicycle, Anne Arundel County police said.

Police said the man entered the Bay Bank in 2600 block of Annapolis about 3:30 p.m. Friday and handed a bank employee a note, demanding money. The suspect then fled on a small blue bicycle with an undisclosed amount, police said.

Officers later found the bicycle in the parking lot of the shopping center.

Police described the suspect as a black man about 19 to 24 years old and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was carrying a black backpack and wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, blue jeans and a black knit hat, police said.
